LJ Trip to CATF Play
Alumni of LJ and spouses will be attending the Contemporary American Theater Festival show "Yankee Tavern" at 8:00 p.m. on July 30. Arrangements for a pre-show dinner are being worked out. Check out CATF's website: www.catf.org.
The primary goal of Leadership Jefferson is to educate current and future community leaders about Jefferson County's assets, opportunities, and hurdles, in order to strengthen the sense of community and ensure a prosperous future.
During the 10-month program, participants will develop leadership skills and will hone their leadership abilities through training sessions under professional leadership.
Participants will meet the movers and shakers in Jefferson County and the State of West Virginia, from government officials to business owners to private citizens, all of whom help make Jefferson County what it is and what it could be. Perhaps more importantly, participants will have great bonding experiences with each other and will build important relationships for the future.
Born and raised in Jefferson County, West Virginia, I attended the College of William and Mary where I earned a bachelors degree in Economics. After college, I was commissioned in the U.S. Army, where I served as a tanker and a logistician. After four years of active duty, I went to law school at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin Texas, from which I graduated with Honors. I then practiced in Chicago in the Mass Torts department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. I returned home to West Virginia to practice law with my father and brother, where our practice is based on helping individuals navigate the law. I also continue to serve as an officer in the United States Army Reserve
I am really looking forward to seeing "Yankee Tavern!" I have heard great reviews from people who have already enjoyed the show.
